Advanced 2D Art starts out the year with a mixed media piece based on the artwork of Jim Dine. Students select everyday objects and turn them into pieces of art.
Studying Cubism and the works of Picasso and Braque, students create a Shattered Image using graphite. Two different images are placed on the same picture plane and shaded using a gradation value scale.
Advanced Art Students continue their studies in painting by selecting a famous piece of artwork and focus on color matching and mixing. Research is done on the artist and the artwork.
